What is DMARC and why does it matter? ▼

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) tells receiving mail servers what to do with messages that fail SPF and DKIM checks for your domain, and asks those servers to send you reports so you can see who is sending mail as you.

How long until I see my first report? ▼

Most receivers batch and send DMARC aggregate reports daily, so plan on 24 to 48 hours after your DNS record is live before data starts appearing on your dashboard.

I already have a DMARC record. Will adding a domain break it? ▼

No. During setup we detect your existing DMARC policy and merge our reporting address into it rather than replacing it, so your current policy and any other reporting tools keep working.

What's the difference between SPF alignment and DKIM alignment? ▼

SPF alignment checks that the domain in the Return-Path header matches your From domain. DKIM alignment checks that the domain in the DKIM signature matches your From domain. DMARC passes if either one aligns.

Can I invite teammates to view reports? ▼

Yes. Go to Team in the sidebar and invite a teammate by email. They'll get access to view every domain on the account.
